Meet the Family Behind Tiny Texan Exchange
Hi! I'm Stephannie, the owner of Tiny Texan Exchange! While I'm the one you'll usually find behind the counter, doing the buys, planning events, rearranging the store for the hundredth time, or coming up with our next sale, Tiny Texan wouldn't be what it is without my little family behind me.My husband, Steven, is always there to help bring my ideas to life—or tell me when he thinks I'm crazy! Whether he's building something for the store, moving things around, fixing something, or getting talked into whatever new project I've dreamed up that week, he's always right there helping me make it happen.And then there's our son, Sterling, our unofficial (but very important!) Toy Manager and Quality Control expert. You'll find him at the store with me some days, testing out the toys we get in, making sure everything is up to his standards, and occasionally bossing the other kids around. 😂 He takes his job very seriously and definitely has opinions about what belongs in the toy section!
Why We Started Tiny Texan Exchange
Tiny Texan Exchange really started with something pretty simple—kids are expensive! As parents ourselves, Steven and I know just how quickly kids grow out of their clothes, move on from toys, and suddenly need the next size of everything.
I also saw that Hutto was missing something. There wasn't really a local place where families could bring the things their kids had outgrown, make a little money back, and then turn around and find affordable things they needed next. So, in true me fashion, I had an idea and decided to go for it!

In July 2025, Tiny Texan Exchange opened its doors.
But from the beginning, I never wanted Tiny Texan to be just a resale store. I wanted to create a place where parents could shop without breaking the bank, kids could play while the mamas and papas looked around, and families could meet, connect, and build friendships within our community. Because it really does take a village—and those villages can be hard to find these days. My hope is that Tiny Texan can be a little piece of that village for our local families.

That's why you'll find more than racks of clothes when you come in. We have our kids' play area, host story times, Mama + Me events, community activities, sales, a wonderful locally made section, and plenty of other things I dream up along the way.

Giving back is also really important to us. When we're able to, we find ways to give items another life and help families in our community rather than letting perfectly good things go to waste.
Tiny Texan started with an idea, but our customers and community have turned it into something so much bigger. We're incredibly proud to call Hutto home, and I'm so excited to watch Tiny Texan Exchange continue to grow right alongside our son and all of your families, too.
